1. Use of the App

DogHub is designed to help dog owners manage dog-related information, discover nearby dog-friendly services, arrange dog meetups, and participate in community discussions. You agree to use the App for lawful purposes only.

You must be at least 13 years old to use DogHub.

2. Accounts & Authentication

DogHub uses Firebase Authentication and allows you to sign in using:

• Apple ID
• Google

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. User Content

You may upload, post, or send content such as:

• Dog profile information
• Profile pictures
• Meetup details
• Messages and photos sent to other users
• Community posts, comments, and photos

You retain ownership of your content. By uploading, posting, or sending content, you grant DogHub and the operator of DogHub a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, reproduce, distribute, and transmit your content within the App for the purposes of providing and improving App functionality.

Community Content

Community posts and comments may be publicly visible to other DogHub users. Other users may interact with your content by viewing, commenting on, or reporting it.

DogHub does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, safety, or reliability of any user-generated content posted within the Community.

Content Restrictions

You agree not to upload, post, or send content that:

• Is offensive, abusive, harassing, threatening, or illegal
• Contains hate speech, discrimination, or violence
• Is sexually explicit or inappropriate
• Violates another person's rights, privacy, or intellectual property
• Includes personal or sensitive information about others without consent
• Impersonates another person or entity
• Contains spam or unsolicited promotional material

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to upload any photos or content you share and that such content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

4. Location-Based Features

DogHub uses your device's location services to:

• Show nearby dog-friendly businesses and services
• Improve map-based features
• Find dog matches for meetups nearby

Location data is used only while the App is active or as permitted by your device settings.

5. Dog Meetups & Responsibility

DogHub helps users discover and schedule dog meetups but does not supervise or guarantee the behavior, safety, or health of dogs or owners.

You acknowledge that:

• All meetups are voluntary
• You are fully responsible for your dog's behavior and well-being
• DogHub is not liable for injuries, damages, losses, or disputes arising from meetups

6. Messaging, Community & User Responsibility

DogHub provides messaging and community features to allow communication and content sharing between users. You acknowledge and agree that:

• All messages, posts, comments, and photos are the responsibility of the user who created them
• DogHub does not monitor or endorse user communications or community content
• You will not use these features to harass, threaten, deceive, or harm others, or to share inappropriate or illegal content
• DogHub is not liable for any damages, disputes, injuries, or losses arising from user communications or community interactions

DogHub does not actively monitor all messages or user content. However, we may review, restrict, remove, or block content if:

• Another user reports it as violating these Terms
• We believe it violates these Terms or applicable laws
• We are required to do so by law enforcement or legal process

DogHub reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without notice, to remove content, limit visibility, suspend features, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the App.

7. No Medical or Professional Advice

DogHub does not provide veterinary, medical, legal, or professional advice. All information shared through the App or Community is for informational purposes only.

Always consult a qualified professional for veterinary or medical decisions.

8. Termination

DogHub reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DogHub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to user content, community interactions, messaging, or meetups.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you sign in using Apple ID or Google, we collect:

• A unique user identifier
• Your name and email address (if provided by the provider)

Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.

b. User-Provided Data

You may provide:

• Dog profiles and associated data (name, breed, weight, etc.)
• Vet appointments, medications, grooming, and reminders
• Meetup information
• Profile photos
• Messages and photos sent to other users
• Community posts, comments, and images

Some user-generated content (such as profile information, posts, comments, and photos) may be visible to other users within the App.

This data is stored using Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage.

c. Location Data

DogHub uses your device's location to:

• Show nearby dog-friendly businesses and services
• Improve map-related features
• Find dog matches for meetups nearby

Location data is not sold and is only used within the App, subject to your device permissions.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide core app functionality
• Sync your data across sessions
• Deliver messages, posts, comments, and photos between users
• Display nearby services and community content
• Improve app performance, safety, and features

3. Data Storage & Security

DogHub uses Google Firebase services, which apply industry-standard security practices to protect your data.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no system is 100% secure.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data only:

• With Firebase (for authentication, storage, database, and messaging services)
• With mapping providers (Apple Maps and/or Google Maps) for location features
• If required by law, legal process, or to protect the safety of users

5. Third-Party Services

DogHub uses:

• Apple Maps and/or Google Maps APIs

These services have their own privacy policies.

6. Content Moderation & Reports

If user content is reported or flagged, DogHub may temporarily review and process the reported content and related data to enforce our Terms, maintain community safety, or comply with legal obligations.

7. Your Choices

You can:

• Control location access through device settings
• Update or delete your account data, posts, comments, and photos within the App

Deleted content may remain in backups for a limited period before being permanently removed.

8. Children's Privacy

DogHub is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of DogHub indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
